LFI’s Managing Director Stresses Need for Information Governance at Special Networking Luncheon
HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Laserfiche International (LFI), the platinum sponsor of Hong Kong’s ICT Industry Competition and Exchange Programme for the World Expo, today flew the contest winners to Shanghai so that they can take part in the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Showcases (HKDES) during Hong Kong ICT Week@Expo, which takes place from 12 to 17 September.
“China’s future as a business and technology leader depends on the contributions of our students and young professionals,” said Phyllis Chen, managing director of LFI. “Laserfiche International is pleased to help a new generation of Hong Kong’s ICT enthusiasts display their skills on an international stage at the World Expo in Shanghai.”
The ICT Industry Competition is comprised of two separate contests: one for digital game development and one for animation. The winners of the contests include young professionals as well as students from such schools as the Hong Kong Institute of Design, the School of Creative Media – City University of Hong Kong and Pak Kau College.
In addition to round-trip airfare and accommodations in Shanghai for all HKDES winners, LFI will also award both the Hong Kong Institute of Design and Pak Kau College a free Laserfiche content management system for having the greatest number of entrants in the ICT Industry Competition. Ms. Chen will present these awards during the Hong Kong ICT Week Closing Dinner on 16 September at the Shanghai International Convention Center.
During a special networking luncheon for more than 200 people from across Hong Kong and China’s commercial, government and education sectors, LFI will discuss why an information governance strategy that incorporates enterprise content management (ECM) technology has become essential for ensuring compliance, efficiency and transparency at organizations across the Asia Pacific region. The luncheon will take place on 14 September at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.
