First Business Leader of a Taiwan-Based Company to Receive the Award
TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Co-hosted by CNBC Asia Pacific and CBN (China Business Network), the China Business Leaders Awards 2010 (CBLA 2010) ceremony took place in Shanghai, China, on October 20th. Yancey Hai, Vice Chairman and CEO, Delta Electronics, Inc., received the CBLA's top honor, the China Business Leader of the Year Award, for outstanding performance in business management, technology innovation, corporate social responsibility and environmental education. Mr. Hai became the first business leader of a Taiwan-based company to receive this prestigious award.

Extending leadership is the theme and judging criteria of the China Business Leaders Awards 2010. According to the event host, there are three meanings for extending leadership. The judging process for the China Business Leaders Awards is led by the world renowned University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. The judging committee evaluates nominated business leaders based on a combination of criteria including financial performance, leadership, creativity and innovation, and social responsibility, with an emphasis on the candidates' demonstrated business leadership in creating short-term advantages, long-term value and competitive advantages.
