Saa products Ltd have launched a free iPhone App to follow up the success it has had with its Pet Portraits which via Pets Corner in the UK, under the brand name Drawn to You.

Luciene Coombes, the Director of Saaproducts Ltd, based on Hong Kong  said: "We launched via traditional website sales channels in late October 2010, and very soon were inundated with customers buying portraits for Christmas. Since then demand has remained strong, but we've begun the Christmas orders now, and having an APP is every exciting! "

The App is available for download globally on any iPhone/iPod/iPad and is a free download. Over 200 million iPhone owners are technically able to download it. Ms Coombes said the company has a stable of freelance portrait artists and are able to make up to 1000 portraits per month. They are hand drawn charcoal portraits on quality art paper, 28cm x 38cm, which are then packaged and posted to clients in a hard tube.

iPhone users download the free App by searching the term "Pet portraits" in the iTunes App Store. Link for this is also here: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/petportraits/id397330123?mt=8

Once downloaded, users can take a "live" photo and click to order a portrait of it straight away, or select a library photo. The cost is £49, €59, or US$79 and is payable from iTunes account.

Theoretically users can send a photo of anything (coffee cup, person etc.) and a portrait is possible but the company is aiming at the pet owners for now.
