As the Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) in China comes into its finale event in its third year, Novotel Century Hong Kong is proud to be in partnership with this great evolving competition that involves musicians from around the world. The GBOB China Final will be held on 21st November 2010 and the four competing bands are from Beijing, Shenzhen, Macau and Hong Kong. The event will be held at the premier live music venue; Sticky Fingers in Tsim Sha Tsui East.
Global Battle of the Bands was formed in 2004 and the China division created in 2008. Over 25 countries are taking part in 2010. The World Final for GBOB 2010 will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 26th February 2011. At the World Final, the overall winning band will receive US$100,000 in band development (US$10,000 cash, UK tour & 1 week recording in a top London studio).
