MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SiliconCore Technology, a leading fabless analog products company, today announced that one of its Laser Diode Driver (LDD) devices has started mass production with SANYO’s slim type Optical Pick-up Unit (OPU). Slim type OPU is used in DVD recorder drives which are standard on most Notebook Personal Computers. The LDD device controls the laser diode on the OPU and manages the accurate switching of the high currents required during the CD and DVD reading and writing operations.
