REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP announced today the expansion of its domestic and international Corporate and Securities practices with the addition of partners Glen Van Ligten and David Lee to the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Van Ligten focuses on representing venture capital firms and emerging growth companies in Silicon Valley. Lee counsels emerging growth technology companies as well as managing an active practice representing technology focused clients in the United States and in China.

GLEN R. VAN LIGTEN is a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group which advises emerging companies and venture capital firms. Glen represents companies at all stages of the corporate life-cycle, from pre-incorporation planning to venture capital financings to mergers and acquisitions. Glen specializes in a wide range of corporate, securities and partnership law, primarily focusing on the formation and financing of venture capital funds and emerging growth companies, and also works with investment banks involved in public and private stock offerings.
Van Ligten earned his J.D., cum laude from Hastings College of Law at the University of California and his B.S. from the University of California at Davis. Before joining Gunderson Dettmer Glen was a partner at Orrick and Director at Venture Law Group.
DAVID C. LEE is a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group which advises emerging companies and venture capital firms. David practices in the areas of corporate formation, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, public company securities, and technology licensing transactions.
David has an active practice representing China-focused emerging companies, both in the United States and in China. He has deep experience representing China’s leading private and public internet companies. In addition, David’s practice involves a broad network of entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists that are active in developing China-focused companies.
David earned his J.D. summa cum laude from Stanford University and his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, David was a partner at Orrick and a founding attorney and Director of Venture Law Group.
