TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tokyo-based Teknowmics, the provider of enterprise IT products, announced new functions for its enterprise version of its flagship product SmartDocs that was released in October 2010. This will be demonstrated at the 'Cloud Computing EXPO Spring' at the Tokyo Big Site during May 11-13, 2011.

The SmartDocs Enterprise version:

• will support Ichitaro documents, image, video and, music files, in addition to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF
• has client environment provided for smart phones and tablets enabling use of basic SmartDocs functions including searching, viewing, displaying without downloading the actual file.
• Is supported by nine languages -- Japanese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), English, German, Russian, Korean, French and Spanish – covering 90% of Global Internet users.

While corporates will gain from the enhanced version of SmartDocs Personal Edition, Japan also stands to benefit. In a benevolent and compatriotic gesture, Teknowmics has linked the raising of funds to the sale of its premium product – the SmartDocs Personal Edition. According to the Company, "The massive earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan (Miyagi and Fukushima area) has changed the shape of the country's economy and the lives of thousands of people. • For each user who creates a free SmartDocs account, Teknowmics will donate JPY 10.
• For each user who creates a premium account for 1 year, Teknowmics will donate 30% of the payment

The donations till the end of May 2011 will be paid into the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's fund (Tohoku Chiho Taiheiyo oki jishin tokyyo-to gienkin) towards earthquake relief efforts.
