LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brown-Forman (NYSE:BFB) (NYSE:BFA) announced today the appointment of John Accardo to Managing Director, China, effective May 1. In this role, Accardo will be responsible for the leadership and performance of Brown-Forman’s business in China.

Accardo joined Brown-Forman in 1996 and has held various commercial leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the U.S. He most recently served as Director of Regional Strategy for the Asia Pacific Region. Prior to Brown-Forman, Accardo was vice president, Finance and Planning for Anheuser-Busch Asia, based in Hong Kong, leading Anheuser-Busch’s entry into China. “This diverse international business experience in both developed and developing markets equips John well to lead our efforts in this important market,” said Michael McShane, Managing Director of the Asia Pacific Region for Brown-Forman.

Accardo, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Wyoming, will be based in Shanghai.
