NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oliver Wyman today announced the appointment of Graham Sharp as a senior advisor. Mr. Sharp, a co-founder of the world's third-largest independent commodity trading organization Trafigura Beheer BV, will work closely with Oliver Wyman's Global Risk & Trading Practice to support clients in improving their performance by capturing additional margins and more effectively managing risks.

Mr. Sharp was a senior vice-president of International Trade at TNK-BP based in Moscow until 2011. Under his leadership, TNK-BP developed international trading activity. Prior to that, he was a co-founder of Trafigura Beheer BV from 1993 through 2007. In this role, he was responsible for all oil trading worldwide as well as for the company's regional activities in the Middle East, Asia and Australasia. He was a director of many Trafigura subsidiaries and involved in all Trafigura asset investments. When he left, he was also running the London office of Trafigura. He began his career as a consultant for Strategic Planning Associates in London where he worked primarily for Shell in the UK, Germany, France and Belgium.
Mr. Sharp is engaged in a wide range of philanthropic activities. He is the founder of the Helsington Foundation and the Racing Steps Foundation. He is chairman of The Trafigura Foundation and director of Galena Asset Management. His hobby is motor car racing.
