HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andrew Mak will join A.M. Best as director, market development, for A.M. Best Asia-Pacific, Ltd in late June, the company announced today.

Mr. Mak will be based in A.M. Best’s Hong Kong office and will report to Susanna Lam, managing director of A.M. Best Asia-Pacific, Ltd. Mr. Mak will have responsibility for A.M. Best’s market development throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Mak has close to 20 years’ experience in the reinsurance and insurance sectors and is the former head of client portfolio management at Munich Re, Hong Kong. Previously, Mr. Mak held senior positions with Partner Re and was the first Chief Representative in the company’s Beijing office. He also held various positions with Transatlantic Re and Chubb. Mr. Mak holds a Master of Business Administration degree.
