Australia-China Business Awards finalists announced

Shanghai—(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Australian Chambers of Commerce in Shanghai, Hong Kong & Macau, and Beijing today announced the finalists of the AustCham Westpac Australia-China Business Awards 2010 at the Australian pavilion, Shanghai World Expo.

Now in its 18th year, the Australia-China Business Awards recognise and celebrate Australian companies excelling in China.

Chairman of the Awards Judging Committee, Austrade Senior Trade Commissioner, Mr Christopher Wright said: “The Awards are an extension of the Greater China Chambers’ long-term commitment to supporting and promoting excellence in Australia-China business. They recognise and celebrate the enormous diversity and strength of Australian businesses delivering products and services to Greater China.”

Australian Commissioner-General, Ms Lyndall Sachs added: “I am very proud that the Australian pavilion, which itself is a tangible demonstration of Australian capabilities, is playing host to this event. The Australia-China Business Awards recognise the depth, the creativity and acumen of Australian businesses in areas as diverse as financial services, legal services, hospitality, biotechnology, ICT, and sophisticated luxury goods and services.”

Nominations are now open for the popular People’s Choice Award, which recognises the finalist that the Australia-China community believes has contributed most to Australian business across Greater China over the past year. The public can now vote for one of the above finalists to win the People’s Choice Award at www.austchamchina.com.
