2011 3rd Annual China Solar Industry Leadership Summit

SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hosted by CBI Events and co-organized by Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF) and Qinghai Provincial Government, the 3rd Annual China Solar Industry Leadership Summit will be held on June 27-28, in Xining City of China’s Qinghai Province.

The 3rd high-level dialogues and interviews will continue to gather more than 100 power companies, owners of major ongoing and planned projects, system integrators, grid companies, solar cells & modules manufacturers, advanced equipment suppliers, invest & financing institutions and consulting firms in Xining, who will discuss the latest development trends in the solar industry and this year’s newly-added solar projects.

Due to the nuclear leak caused by the devastating Japanese earthquake, most European countries that were supposed to reduce PV subsidies in early 2011 have started to review the development of nuclear and solar energy in their own countries. In this case, electrovalence is expected to rise. While emerging markets in various countries are opening, the surplus of China’s photovoltaic manufacturing production capacity, which accounted for 60% of the global total photovoltaic capacity in 2010, will continue to exist. Therefore, it will be the highest priority to develop China’s domestic market.

In China, the total new installation capacity planned for the future five years is expected to double to 10GW due to the Japanese nuclear leak. The 12th Five-year Plan also mentioned that China will make great efforts to construct smart grids in the next five years and solve grid connection and transmission problems for the new energy industry. Recently, Mr. Li JunFeng, Deputy Director of the Energy Research Institute National Development and Reform Commission, made a clear statement on the prospects for the domestic photovoltaic applications, "By 2015, China’s domestic PV installation capacity will reach 10GW, and by 2020, at least 50GW. This goal means that the domestic PV capacity will see an "accelerated growth" in the next 10 years.”

How to find an operation mode for the power plants that is both suitable for China’s market situations and profitable? How about the reliability of solar plants? How to solve the problem of long-distance power transmission? How about the current technology level and future market tendency of new methods for solar power generation, including thin-film concentration photovoltaic, concentration photovoltaic and concentrating solar power? 2011 China Solar Industry Leadership Summit will present the solutions and answers for the industry.
