LONDON & PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Automic, the world’s most comprehensive business automation platform, today announced it has entered into exclusive discussions with Argos Soditic for the acquisition of IT operations software specialist ORSYP. The planned acquisition would see Automic further extend its global reach as it would significantly strengthen its position in complementary geographies and add further expertise to the team. The contemplated acquisition is notably subject to the completion of the information and consultation procedures.
Founded in 1986, ORSYP is headquartered in Paris and delivers transformational software to more than 1,000 blue-chip clients worldwide, many in the most demanding IT environments. With a broad geographic presence and particularly strong footprint in France and Canada, ORSYP will complement Automic’s global footprint and will help create one of the world’s largest automation vendors.
Following EQT’s investment in Automic in August 2012 and subsequent initiatives to drive global growth, this contemplated acquisition represents a significant step forward in further expanding the Automic ecosystem and marks the business’ vision going forward. The combination of Automic’s platform and ORSYP’s long-standing automation expertise should foster continued technical excellence across both businesses. The combined scale and global reach will be vital to taking a leadership position in the market as we deliver on a global scale superior customer support and best-in-class innovative technology.
Richard Muirhead, CEO of Automic, explained the strategy behind the contemplated acquisition: “The ORSYP management team and technology are both very strong, as are its customer relationships. We saw a great combination in the ambition of both businesses to expand globally and become the largest business automation player worldwide. We also both believe that business automation is key for organizations looking to keep pace with digital and innovative change.”
François-Xavier Floren, CEO at ORSYP commented: “Today represents a major milestone for ORSYP’s customers, colleagues and partners. Joining with Automic will allow ORSYP to continue to serve our customers on a global scale and support them with their business performance and automation challenges -- today and in the future.”
