BURLINGTON, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Demandware®, Inc. (NYSE: DWRE), the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, today announced that Eu Yan Sang, an Asia-based health and wellness group with an unrivaled reputation as the leader in the Traditional Chinese Medicine industry, migrated its digital commerce operations from a hosted solution to Demandware Commerce. With Demandware’s scalable cloud-based platform, Eu Yan Sang launched an ecommerce site in Singapore – www.EuYanSang.com.sg – in less than five months and has plans to further expand its digital presence within the region.
Eu Yan Sang has been a leader in Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 100 years, educating its customers on the relevance between product and lifestyle. Today, the group has more than 300 physical stores throughout the Asia Pacific region (APAC), with products sold in a variety of pharmacies, convenience stores, hospitals, health clubs and spas worldwide. A core element of the brand experience is the retailer’s customer engagement framework. This framework revolves around discovery and learning to encourage customers of all ages to take charge of their health by making conscious decisions about their consumption.
“Demandware provides the local experience and knowledge to help us successfully navigate through market requirements as we expand into new markets in the APAC region – something our previous hosted solution did not allow us to do,” said Corrinne Koh, General Manager, Marketing, Eu Yan Sang. “Demandware’s scalable cloud platform enables us to quickly roll out new commerce sites across the region to maximize our reach among consumers while meeting our business goals.”
Leveraging the capabilities of Demandware’s cloud platform, Eu Yan Sang’s future commerce plans include centralizing the entire customer shopping experience, exploring mobile shopping capabilities with responsive design, and omni-channel enablement through digitizing its stores. Eu Yan Sang plans to equip its store associates with the tools needed to provide customers with more information in real-time, while also being able to complete transactions from the sales floor, further building on the retailer’s customer engagement framework. Eu Yan Sang is also exploring international shipping options.
“Eu Yan Sang is an example of a traditional business that is transforming its organization to pursue a commerce strategy that brings together both online and offline shopping experiences,” said Jeffrey Barnett, COO, Demandware. “With Demandware’s cloud platform and our presence in APAC, Eu Yan Sang is able to leverage our local knowledge and commerce expertise. Our solution helps guide them in delivering an enhanced digital shopping experience, effectively meeting the evolving demands of its customers and staying true to the brand across every shopping channel.”
The implementation of the project was led by SapientNitro, a Demandware LINK Solution partner.
