International engineering firm Buro Happold today announced that its partnership has unanimously appointed Roger Nickells as Chief Executive Officer, effective from Wednesday 25th June. Roger will take over from Paul Westbury CBE, who is to join Laing O’Rourke as Group Technical Director.

Since joining the company as a partner in 2010 Roger, a civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience, has spearheaded major strategic initiatives across the company portfolio and in particular the firm’s work across the Middle East. Roger has a deep understanding of buildings and cities and their impact on people. He encourages those around him to bridge the gap between science and society. His passion for leadership and intelligent integrated design, positions him on a strong footing to lead Buro Happold into the future.
